BAP is dead! Long live BAP!

A year ago Christmas / New Year’s Day I purchased a template and a year of hosting from Blu Domain.  That year is up, and my business is on hold because I want to spend time with my wife and 22 month old daughter.  And, although their pre-built, flash websites are pretty and fairly easy to setup, I decided I don’t need one anymore.  Beyond that, it was Flash only, so I couldn’t see it from my iPhone or my wife’s Droid.  And so it was, blueagavephotography.com was no more (according to DNS lookups), dead.

But, it wasn’t dead for long, as Tumblr makes it easy to point your domain at your Tumblog.  For the time being, blueagavephotography.com will consist only of this blog.  Long live BAP!

I promised some exciting news …

Cruizin'

This may not be exciting for, well, most of you.  But for me and those of you who are camera geeks, it will be very exciting.  For the past two weeks, I’ve been photographing with my brand new D700!  Woohoo!

The D700  gives Nikon shooters something Canon shooters have had for a little while with the 5D, a full-frame, professional camera body with fantastic AF performance, wide dynamic range, and great high-ISO/low-noise performance that’s affordable and small when compared to the top professional bodies of either camera company.  I photographed the Pewitt family portraits with it and loved it.  I’ll post a few photos from that shoot hopefully later today, after I post some engagement photos of Sara and John.  In the meantime, here’s a recent photo of Alli taken with my D700 (Jenny has additional recent Alli photo on her blog).  Enjoy!

The Orchard Shoot

This is an awesome photoshoot on some random cool looking orchard.  It’s aptly named, The Orchard Shoot.  The D90 video at the site is funny too and shows a few photos that aren’t shown on the blog.

Sorry for the weird spacing, but those pesky spam bots are persistent.

Anyway, it’s time to celebrate this momentous occasion in Blue Agave’s history.  Have a great weekend.  I have to process some Littlefield photos.  =)

Cheers!
